The reverse, designed by Miley Busiek, depicts a male eagle carrying an olive branch flying above a nest containing a female eagle and her hatchlings. The reverse includes several inscriptions: “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” the weight and content of the coin “1/4 OZ. FINE GOLD,” the denomination “10 DOLLARS,” and the national mottos “E PLURIBUS UNUM” (Out of many, one) and “IN GOD WE TRUST.”
