2004 W US Gold $5 Eagle NGC PF 70 Ultra Cameo

$355.00 USD

– SOLD

The obverse features the iconic depiction of Lady Liberty, originally designed by Augustus Saint-Gaudens for the $20 Double Eagle in 1907. Lady Liberty is portrayed striding confidently forward, holding a torch in her right hand (symbolizing enlightenment) and an olive branch in her left hand (representing peace). The rays of the sun radiate behind her, enhancing the sense of vitality and grandeur. The design is inscribed with "LIBERTY" at the top, and the year "2004" is placed below Lady Liberty. Surrounding the design are 50 stars, representing the 50 states.

The reverse features a powerful and symbolic representation of a family of bald eagles. The design showcases a male bald eagle in flight, holding an olive branch in its talons, while a female bald eagle watches over their nest containing eaglets. This imagery symbolizes strength, family, and patriotism. The reverse includes "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" at the top, "1/10 OZ. FINE GOLD" indicating the coin's gold content (the $5 Eagle contains 1/10 ounce of gold), "5 DOLLARS" denoting its face value, and the mottos "E PLURIBUS UNUM" (Out of many, one) and "IN GOD WE TRUST."
