Obverse : Features the profile of a Native American chief wearing a full feathered headdress. The inscription "LIBERTY" runs along the top edge of the coin, above the chief’s headdress.

There are 13 stars along the outer edge, representing the original 13 colonies, with the date "1910" placed below the portrait.

Reverse : Features a powerful bald eagle standing on a bundle of arrows with an olive branch, symbolizing the balance between war and peace. Surrounding the eagle are the words "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" at the top and "2 1/2 DOLLARS" at the bottom. To the left of the eagle is the motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM" (Out of many, one), and to the right is "IN GOD WE TRUST."
