The 1877 $20 Liberty Head Double Eagle, graded NGC PF65 Ultra Cameo, is a rare and visually arresting example of 19th-century U.S. proof gold coinage. Struck during the third year of the Type 3 design (bearing the motto "IN GOD WE TRUST"), this coin represents a pinnacle of minting excellence in an era when proof production was minimal and aimed solely at collectors.
