The obverse features an armored knight standing, holding a bundle of arrows in one hand and a sword in the other. The knight symbolizes the unity and strength of the Dutch provinces. The inscription around the knight reads "CONCORDIA RES PARVAE CRESCUNT," which translates to "Unity makes strength".
The reverse displays an ornate tablet with the inscription "MO.ORD.PROVIN.FOEDER.BELG.AD.LEG.IMP.," which stands for "Money of the provinces of the United Netherlands according to the law of the Empire".
