The countermark, known as Ashraf Sahha, signifies the coin's acceptance and revalidation within Ottoman territories, reflecting the complex economic and political interactions between these two powers in the late 17th century.
Obverse: Features St. Mark standing at left, presenting a staff with a cross to the Doge of Venice, who is kneeling at right. The legend reads: “S M VENET” (San Marco Venice).
