1422-1430 Gold 1/4 Noble Henry VI NGC MS65

1422-1430 Gold 1/4 Noble Henry VI NGC MS65

The 1422–1430 England Gold Quarter Noble of King Henry VI, struck at the London Mint during his first reign, is a remarkable small-format gold issue from the early Lancastrian period. Produced during the Annulet issue, it reflects the continuation of the medieval gold standard under a young monarch whose reign would become entangled with the Hundred Years' War and internal strife.

Obverse: Features a quartered coat of arms of France and England within a polylobe border, with a small lis positioned above the shield and surrounded by a Gothic legend.

Reverse: Displays a cross fleuree with fleurs-de-lis at each end and in the center. In each angle is a lion passant left over a trefoil, all enclosed within a decorative polylobe border and encircled by an inscription in Lombardic script.

Graded NGC MS65, this coin is of exceptional quality, with only minor softness in portions of the legend. It offers outstanding brilliance, a well-preserved strike, and rich golden-orange color, making it one of the finest certified examples of this type.
