16th C. Ryal, Flemish Imitation PCGS AU58

$8,160.00 USD

The 16th century Great Britain Gold Ryal coin (also known as a Rose Noble) was a gold coin issued by the English monarchs between 1464 and 1603.

The Flemish Imitation refers to coins that were made in Flanders (now part of Belgium) that closely resemble the English Ryal, and were likely intended to be passed off as genuine. These imitations were made in the 16th and 17th centuries.

The S-1952 variety is specifically identified in the reference catalog "Spink Standard Catalogue of British Coins" by Peter Seaby.
