The obverse features a laureate portrait of Emperor Joseph II facing right, with a mint mark below the bust and a legend around it. The inscription reads "IOS·II·D·G·R·I·S·A· GE·HV·BO·REX", which stands for Joseph II, by the grace of God, Roman Emperor, always August, Germany, Hungary, Bohemia King.
The reverse showcases a crowned double-headed imperial eagle with the Habsburg Lorraine arms, surrounded by a legend.
