An unusual error on a $20 Philadelphia FRN with serial number MC34917132A where the "stamped" word of "APPROVED" at lower right was placed over the printing of the offset background, yet under the overprint letterpress serial number and security image of the eagle perched on the Federal shield. This error note was shipped to PMG and then mailed to Identification Services LLC, a forensic document company, for review. Their report for this error note accompanies this Note. It details equipment they used and their findings that the note appears unaltered and in its original state. Six pages of magnified photographs are included in the report, too.
