1902 10C PR64 PCGS. CAC

$975.00 USD

The third Philadelphia Mint building on Spring Garden Street opened in 1901. In keeping with other proofs struck in 1902, the new Mint employed an all-brilliant format that borders on chromelike reflectivity, with little significant contrast between the raised devices and the glittering silver fields. This Choice proof acquired a faint, translucent hint of gold patina over the past 120+ years to complement the mostly silver-white surfaces. The coin is housed in a Generation 1.2 "rattler" holder with its well-deserved CAC endorsement.
