1087-1100 William II, Rufus Penny ND (1089-1092) (Bent) NGC UNC Details
Hertford mint, Thidric as moneyer, Cross-in-Quatrefoil type, On the obverse is the crowned bust of William facing, sword held over right shoulder. On the reverse is a quatrefoil with pellet at each angle enclosing a cross pattee with annulet in center. By all appearances, a wholly Mint State representative, limited by the absence of a slight bend as is commonly seen from these thin flans. Regardless, the piece at hand is accompanied by ample originality that lends to the piece's superior and beautiful eye appeal.
